Four Shubh Choghadiya is mentioned in all authentic Muhurat Principles. They are Amrit, Shubh, Labh, and Char. Amrit Choghadiya means free from bad influence, long lasting and it is the best time to pray to God. Shubh means good, blessed and Griha Pravesh should be done in this period. Bad Choghadiya Muhurats

Bad Choghadiya names are Kaal Vela, Vaar Vela, Udveg and Kaal Ratri. Auspicious work should be avoided during Vaar Vela, Kaal Vela, Udveg as mentioned by all Muhurat Principles. Kaal Ratri is malefic of all and must be avoided. Kaal Vela and Vaar Vela come in the daytime while Kaal Ratri comes during night time. If Good Choghadiya is overlapping with Bad Choghadiya then that Muhurat should be avoided.

When is Choghadiya Good or Bad?
